BMC Drops Microsoft ILM Pitch
Wow, I didn’t expect this. BMC once considered a strategic partner in Microsoft’s Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM) vision/product has dropped their support for Microsoft citing “overlap” between their products. What amazes me is that Netpro has virtually nothing to do with Identity Managment yet they are mentioned as having a solution – apparently they were part of the Microsoft memo. (Full disclosure: I am employeed by Quest software a competitor to NetPro).
