Is NetIQ still in AD Business?
For the first time I can remember, NetIQ failed to appear at Microsoft’s TechEd event. If I remember correctly, the last serveral years they have had a pretty large booth and this year I just couldn’t find them. I did see a booth for Attachmate NetIQ’s parent company, but it didn’t seem to be talking about Active Directory or any of the NetIQ products. After hearing about the large job cuts NetIQ did early this year combined with a large number customers who we see replacing NetIQ’s DRA with ActiveRoles Server; it makes me wonder if Attachmate has decided to exit the Microsoft market.

We decided to focus on Interop, instead of TechEd, and are just wrapping up a great show for us. Still very active with Microsoft (see our new NetIQ Aegis SCOM adaptor), Active Directory, Group Policy and Identity & Access Management.
Healthy competition is good for us and our customers/prospects – Congratulations on the wins, hope your reciprocal on your losses
