Windows XP to Windows 7 Upgrade – NOT!
The word has come out of Microsoft that Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 will be released to the public on October 22nd according to the Windows Server team blog. It was interesting to me that despite having so many people stay with Windows XP rather than moving to Vista, there is no direct upgrade from XP to Windows 7. There is the Microsoft “Desktop Migration” tool that was used at my company, but it was so limited they stopped using it; I assume MS will suggest that.
